Get your hard hats ready, as The Block is gearing up to make a return.
The 17th season of the hit show features a twist, as three hopeful couples face two experienced sets of all-stars in the Melbourne suburb of Hampton.
And that’s not all — for the first time ever, contestants will not be given a house plan, as they not only have to renovate their designated project but also create the layout from scratch.
The all-star couples include Perth’s Ronny and Georgia from the 2017 season, and Sydney’s Mitch and Mark from 2019.
Love Island Australia’s Josh and Luke will be one of the newbie couples, along with Melbourne’s Tanya and Vito and Wangi Wangi’s Kirsty and Jesse.
Host Scott Cam can’t wait for viewers to experience the latest season, saying: “Expect the unexpected. This build was extremely tough to plan and work out where things would go for many of our contestants because of this new twist. The plans have been thrown out the window and it leads to plenty of stuff-ups!
“The Fans have everything to gain and the Faves have reputations to uphold. This will be a dramatic showdown like we have never seen before.”
The Block will premiere at 7pm on Sunday, August 8 on Channel 9 and 9Now.
