Married At First Sight is only a few days away and the countdown is on. The show, which has catapulted to success because of its controversial subject matter is set to return on January 31 and it’s time to get to know the brides and grooms.
Used to facing life’s struggles alone, nothing is more important to Selin than her 2-year-old son, who she has raised single-handedly since he was born. Of course, that left her with no time to date, which is why she’s diving headfirst into Married At First Sight in the hopes she’ll find “The One”.
While her dating life hasn’t been too successful, the 32-year-old executive assistant has gone on to make a number of wins in her career.
“I worked since I was 14 and nine months, and own three properties in NSW, VIC and QLD,” she reveals, adding: “I am proud of these achievements, hence why I am sharing.”
Nervous is an understatement when it comes to how Selin is feeling about the wild social experiment. Not used to being away from her son, she truly hopes something magical can come out of this entire journey, after all, it is the first time in a long time she’s putting her own needs above others.
Raised in a close-knit Turkish family, Selin is strong-willed and knows when to speak up in a relationship. She’s looking for a man who has his priorities straight and will support not only her but also her son after they tie the knot.
Married At First Sight premieres on January 31 on Channel 9 and 9Now.
