Beloved Australian sunscreen brand Ultra Violette are hitting the road. Founders Bec Jefferd and Ava Matthews will be jumping in a Mr Whippy van and delivering delicious desserts, music, giveaways, samples and more to fans across Melbourne and Sydney.

The first 50 visitors will receive free mini skin screens, there will be full-sized giveaways of limited edition sunglasses and full-sized sunscreens and everybody (that’s right, everybody) gets a sundae.

Melbourne-based fans will have a chance to meet Ava and Bec this Friday, 25th of April, while Sydney residents should pencil the 29th and 30th of April in their calendars.

Those wanting to check out the activation can follow the van’s location via Ultra Violette’s socials.

Ultra Violette was launched in 2018 by Ava Matthews and Bec Jefferd, both of whom had seriously beauty credentials having worked for top brands in Australia. Their products have become instantly iconic, gracing the top shelves and handbags of beauty editors Australia wide (my personal favourite Queen Screen SPF50 Luminising Sun Serum, $47.00, will make you glow like an actual angel).

While dewy dumpling skin is my personal preference, Ultra Violette makes a range of sunscreens with every skin type, texture and finish in mind. Clean Screen ($47.00) and Lean Screen ($49.00) are mineral-based and perfect for oily or sensitive complexions while Supreme Screen ($49.00) is the brand’s best selling all-rounder, a great option for those who want a hydrated base, sans maximalist shine.

They have also released their Dream Screen SPF50 Tinted Veil ($55.00), Queen Screen’s tinted bestie, a dewy, sheer skin tint available in 11 flexible shades.

Importantly for an Australian brand, their sunscreens are oxybenzone free making them reef safe. Their products are primarily vegan – with the exception being their body sunscreen Extreme Screen ($35.00), which contains beeswax and sheen screen which contains sustainably sourced and cruelty-free lanolin.

With all this in mind, it’s time to slip, slop, slap and check the van’s location on your Instagram app!
