The Real Love Boat: Will Ben Find His Confident Dream Girl?

If you love love, if you love dating shows on boats, if you love sexy singles and glam European destinations, then buckle up babes!

Where’s Bachie gone? No one knows. Instead, 10 is giving us a brand new dating show that’s essentially Love Island on a boat, and we’re not mad about it.

The Real Love Boat — inspired by the 1976 sitcom — takes place aboard the Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess, and will see 20 Australian singles travel the seas, looking for love.

Destination dates and surprise singles will test the couples’ compatibility and chemistry. Like the beloved original scripted series, The Love Boat, the indispensable crew members will play pivotal roles in the matchmaking and navigation of the romantic (and sometimes turbulent) waters ahead.

Arrigo, our eligible Aussies will be guided through the murky waters of love as they explore Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro.

One of the babes embarking on this cruise for love, is 39-year-old Ben, a wellbeing coach and speaker from Queensland.

While Ben thinks he can offer his potential partner fun times, adventure and loyalty, he fears his honesty may deter his dates.

“What you see is what you get!” he says in a press statement — which I think is a true green flag.

Plus, at 39, surely there’s no more patience for the dating games?

Having been single for awhile after some past long-term relationships, Ben is ready to find someone to share life with again.

“I wanted to take time out for myself again, after my past relationship,” he says. “But I’m ready to find love again.”
