15 British Black Beauty Brands to Have on Your Radar

Flora & Curl

The beauty industry has long held a limited vision of inclusivity, often leaving people of colour underrepresented despite their contributions as consumers. TikToker Golloria and many others have had no qualms in calling these brands out after years of our voices being sidelined.

We’re proud to see a change in the narrative, as spaces are carved out for us by the likes of Pat McGrath Labs, Ruka Hair and Clean Curls, Black British brands who have paved the way for visibility and representation, alongside many whose mission this has been from the outset.

From curl care products that are specifically tailored to textured hair types rapidly appearing on high street beauty store shelves, to truly diverse foundation shades to suit the deepest of complexions, these brands and products are created for us, by us, further representing the power in the community. Despite the progress, we still have a long way to go and it’s essential that Black-owned beauty brands are consistently seated at the table and added to our cart for our next beauty haul.

So, we’ve listed the 15 best Black-British beauty brands that should be on your radar all year round.
