Cardi B has never been coy about the plastic surgery procedures she’s had done. During an Instagram Live in December 2022, she talked about a procedure she had done to her butt years ago and gave her followers a word of advice while doing so. Following the birth of her son Wave in September 2021, Cardi B said people thought she had work done when in reality, she got surgery in August to have 95 percent of her biopolymer butt injections removed.
“If you don’t know what it is, it’s ass shots,” she said. “It was a really crazy process.” For those unfamiliar, Cardi B has spoken openly about getting illegal silicone shots back in 2014. “All I’m going to say is that if you’re young, if you’re 19, 20, 21, and sometimes you’re too skinny, and you be like ‘OMG I don’t have enough fat to put in my ass,’ so you result to ass shots, don’t!”
She went on to say that you should do your research and listen to your doctors, not just with butt injections, but also Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBLs), and all plastic and cosmetic surgeries. “When it comes to BBLs, if y’all want advice from me, before you get your BBL done you have to make sure your blood levels are all right,” she said. “If a doctor says your blood levels are too low or you have diabetes or whatever, don’t do it.”
Back in 2019, the rapper got candid about having to cancel and postpone shows because she needed time to recover from liposuction. On Twitter, she talked about having to miss work for two weeks because of it. that same year, Cardi B also told Entertainment Tonight that she had a breast lift after giving birth to her daughter, Kulture, and was unhappy with needing to take time off. On her Instagram Story, she said, “You know, I hate canceling shows because I love money.”
