I tend to be a bit skeptical of budget vitamin c serums as there are so many factors needed to ensure the vitamin c doesn’t oxidise and not only become useless, but also irritate skin. It is very hard to create a stable vitamin c product that will give you all the benefits of this powerful antioxidant, and save the pennies. It is still pushing on the top end of the budget options at nearly £30 but as far as I am concerned it had similar results to some of my favourite vitamin C serums which cost over £100. I am really impressed by the formula, which contains 10% vitamin c but didn’t irritate my skin, leaving it glowing, smooth and looking fresher.

Its also suitable to use around the eye area and doesn’t sting. It is great as a first cleanse if you’ve been wearing a lot of heavy make up too. It is ideal for those with normal to dry skin.

This simple soap is always in my bathroom at home. I also use the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser Bar (£10) for my children as it is gentle enough to be used all over without making skin feel dry or tight like some soaps. It can also be used on the face if you prefer a solid cleanser to a liquid.

I could wax lyrical about just how good this Cerave Advanced Repair Ointment (£11) for days. It feels like a regular moisturiser, so you don’t even notice you’re wearing SPF, it is ideal for those who don’t want to layer up with multiple products, but still want to protect their skin.

I will be honest, I don’t get along with a lot of eye creams. I tend to find that thick creams irritate my eyes and balms tend to look a bit greasy on my skin. That’s why I was super impressed with this new Cerave Skin Renewing Eye Cream (£23). It contains peptides and caffeine which means it targets both fine lines and dark circles. The consitency is part balm, part serum so I found it absorbed really quickly and didn’t leave a cast under my eyes.

You may think its a bit of a curveball to include a foot cream in a best product round up but let me tell you, post summer and sandal season when your heels are hardened from being exposed and out of socks, you are going to want to stock up on Cerave SA Renewing Foot Cream (£9.50). Apply after the bath or shower and within a few days you will find the skin significantly softer and more supple. For an intense treatment apply at night and then pop a pair of socks on to ensure all the ingredients can soak in.

If you’re the type to wonder what all the fuss is about in the constant desire for glossy, dewy skin, stop right now as this may just be the perfect product for you. I understand for some the idea of a well-moisturised face means one which shines, however if you suffer from oily skin this is your idea of a nightmare. Enter Cerave Oil Control Moisturising Gel-Cream (£16.50) this gel formula sinks almost immediately into the skin to leave it feeling hydrated, but giving a mattifying effect. One of the best things about Cerave is that it is a truly unisex brand and this product tends to be very popular with men as well as women.
