Looking for an Autumn Scent? Cherry Perfume Is Having a Big Moment

This pop princess is really making her mark on the music industry and like many female music trailblazers of the past she has also taken the celebrity perfume market by storm. Her perfume range is currently selling one bottle every 20 minutes in Superdrug and her third fragrance Sabrina Carpenter Sweet Tooth Cherry Dreams (£20) joins her current scents; Sweet Tooth and and Caramel Dream, this week and looks set to continue to appeal to her tween audience.

This fragrance has a slightly older appeal, leaning on cherry, peony and poppy as its fruity-floral base combined with her signature chocolate and vanilla undertones. This isn’t for everyone but if you like sweet, floral scents then I would recommend giving it a go or gifting it to the tween in your life.

This woody cherry scent smells like a warm Autumn evening. If you are looking for something unique, yet still fruity an floral I would give Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry (£66) a go. It can be worn alone or layered with one of Kayali’s vanilla scents which completely transforms its fragrance.

If you’re after a scent that’s good enough to eat then the Memoize London Frangi Frenzy (£95) might be for you. It smells like a Bakewell tart with its mix of tart cherries and creamy, nutty almond. But this is not for kids, the base notes of tonka, musk, and woody patchouli give it a sophisticated depth.

There’s something soothing and seductive about this Juliette by Juliette Has A Gun EDP 100ml (£100) perfume. With its sour take on cherry and spicy pepper notes it will give your nose a little tickle as you take in this full, unique fragrance. It is one of those distinct scents which will you will be able to smell long after you leave a room.

I recently took this Floral Street Black Lotus (£74) scent on holiday with me to wear in the evening and every time I wore it I felt confident and powerful. It has a underlying sweet smell, but doesn’t smell childish. The black cherry is combined with the sweet, honeyed scent of Rose, which is undercut with red peppercorn and saffron to add a extra level of punch. For me this is everything an evening scent should be.

If you’re looking for a florally cherry fragrance then this could be right up your street. Q By Dolce & Gabbanna (£61) feels like Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue’s older sister, with the introduction of musk to the citrus undertones it offers a slightly more mature take on this style of fragrance. The cherry is mixed with the creamy heliotrope in the mid notes, which are the ones you will smell after the initial top notes drift away so you will need to be a fan of this combination to appreciate the scent.

For me Elie Saab always brings seductive and ultra feminine fragrances to the table and thisElie Saab Elixir Love (£70) is no different. The top notes of cherry and damask rose really bring the floral, fruit scent to life in the first spritz, however once the perfume starts to settle you will smell the jasmine and neroli coming through. This isn’t a subtle fragrance, it is quite a head turner and really suits this time of year as although it is floral, it doesn’t feel summery and reminds me more of darker, cosier nights.
