Emily Ratajkowski’s New Haircut Is the Shortest It’s Ever Been

Going shorter is all the rage for haircuts right now, and Emily Ratajkowski is the latest to jump on the bandwagon. On Feb. 2, the model and “My Body” author arrived at the Marc Jacobs show in New York City with a new, chin-length bob and blunt micro bangs styled into waves.

She also went a few shaders darker than her usual brunette, unveiling an almost-black hair color. Wearing a monochromatic brown outfit, she kept the rest of her beauty look simple with smudged brown eyeliner and a nude lip, drawing attention to the surprising hairstyle.

Though Ratajkowski’s hair transformation is likely the work of a wig, the edgy bob may be her most dramatic to date. Despite a few stints with faux lobs, various hair colors, and wispy bangs in the past, she rarely strays from her signature long, dark-brown hair. Recently, she’s added face-framing layers to the classic look, even cutting the style herself at home.

While bob haircuts never went out of style, it seems ’90s-inspired blowouts and wavy long hair dominated the scene the past few years. However, 2023 is already shaping up to be the year of the bob, with Ratajkowski following in the footsteps of fellow celebrities like Lizzo, Hailey Bieber, and Emma Stone.
