The 2025 iHeart Radio Music Awards on March 17 brought tons of celebrities out to the red carpet, from A-list musicians to reality stars. (Seriously, it was like every single Bravoleb got the invite – hi, Brittany Cartwright! – but we’re not complaining.) The iHeart Awards are known for honoring the top performers in radio, and one performer we’ve grown accustomed to looking out for on the red carpet is Doechii. Can you blame us? Each time she graces our presence, she shows up with an iconic hairstyle, outfit, or beauty look. And at last night’s awards, she stunned with a manicure that had a unique twist.
Doechii’s “flipside nails” showcased long, black claw nails that were just as oil-slicked on the bottom side. For the unfamiliar, flipside manicures afford you the opportunity to showcase nail polish colors on both sides of your fingertips rather than just the top. A popular way to wear the trend is by opting for contrasting shades, but it’s really up to the wearer. Surprisingly, Doechii wasn’t the only star to take the nail trend for a spin. To see all of the flipside nails from the red carpet, keep scrolling.

Doechii's Flipside Nails
The “Alligator Bites Never Heal” singer won three iHeart awards in 2024, but this year, she was there to present Lady Gaga with the Innovator Award. Doechii is known to work with nail artist Rachel Sun, but it’s unclear who did her manicure for the iHeart awards. If you’ve been tired of your mainstay Funny Bunny nails for a while now, make sure to pop over to Sun’s Instagram page and you’ll never think nails are boring ever again.

Ariana Madix's Flipside Nails
Other celebs showed up to the red carpet with a similar mani situation as Doechii’s. Ariana Madix wore an iteration of a french manicure with all nude shades, and the nude sheen carried over to the flipside of her nails.

Inayah's Flipside Nails
Inayah, who was nominated for best new artist in the R&B category, rocked a similar look. Her burgundy nails were covered in crystals on one side and the color carried over to the underside of her fingertips. This trend is super easy to recreate at home if you have long enough nails, or you can grab extensions at the salon and ask your nail artist to craft additional color on the flip side. If they look at you funny when you make the request, just show them this snap of Inayah.
