Who knew that in 2022 we’d still be on the hunt for a foundation with a good shade range? But on a positive note, while there is still work to be done, the beauty industry has come a long way in recognising the diversity of its customers.
We don’t come across 50 shades of beige and two or three deep colours thrown in for the sake of it as often as we used to. Instead, we’re seeing more and more brands focus on having wide and inclusive colour ranges.
Yes, there are still some shockers on the market and while it makes my blood boil, I want to focus on the brands that are doing the right thing and taking everyone into account.
Foundation can either make or break your entire look and you not only want it to match your skin tone but also your undertone as well. And if you’re warm-toned then steer clear of anything that’s too cool and pink as your skin will end up looking ashy and grey.
So, that said, from NARS, to Fenty Beauty, here are the beauty brands catering to all of their customers.
