Is Lindsay Lohan’s Natural Hair Colour Really Red?

Lindsay Lohan is finally back to her rightful place: on our TV screens. The actor has been doing press for her new Netflix movie “Falling for Christmas,” and as such, questions about her beauty routines have surfaced. Chief among them? Whether or not Lohan’s bright red hair color is real.

Though Lohan has undergone quite a few color transformations over the years, her natural hair color is, in fact, red. In an interview for Vogue’s “Life in Looks” series, Lohan recalls dying her hair blond in 2005, as well as how people told her not to do it. “I was really changing for fashion, my life was changing for fashion,” Lohan says in the video. “No one wanted me to dye my hair blond, everyone was like, ‘Do not do that, you’re going to ruin your red hair.'” She later admits that in hindsight, they were right. “This is the problem – when you go from red to blond and you do it in a rush, it goes yellow,” she says. “This is the true hard fact – don’t change your natural red hair.”

In the course of her decades-long career, Lohan has tried every color from strawberry blond and copper to black and chunky blond highlights, all before going back to her natural hue. Should you also be on the hunt for your own hair-color transformation, shades like red clay, buttery blond, and glossy black were all predicted to trend for 2022 and can help you channel your inner Lohan – in any of her hair color eras.
