Another week, another crazy face device my family has to put up with me wearing around the house. This time I’m trialling the Dr Sabrina Eye Regenerative LED Mask (£250) and to be honest it’s something that I’m not only interested to see if it works, but hoping it does too. I’m a big fan of an LED mask, actually I would go as far to say it is my most recommended product and I truly believe it has had the greatest impact on my skin over the last six months. I have looked at pictures of my skin from February this year and it now looks far less puffy, I look more sculpted and my skin is brighter overall. As someone who gets sent a lot of devices and products to test I also think if I finish the bottle or continue to use it after the trial period then it’s a winner for me. I love my full face LED mask so much my one concern was whether I have to stop using it to try this new device (the answer was no but do not use it on the same day.)
This mask is very specific in its claims and promises, which isn’t a surprise considering it was created by Dr Sabrina Shah-Desai, a UK-trained oculoplastic surgeon and aesthetic practitioner with several decades of experience, specialising in the eye area. She runs a clinic called Perfect Eyes on London’s Harley Street specialising in surgical and non-surgical options for this area. After leaving the NHS and treating patients outside of a medical setting she felt there was a lack of truly effective, science-backed solutions for the delicate periorbital area around the eyes. Using her wealth of experience and knowledge she created products that address dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, and wrinkles, and are formulated with clinically proven ingredients and backed by independent studies.
This LED mask is applied using a hydrocolloid patch which adheres to the skin and contains azeliac acid and vitamin c, which incorporated with the LED light, have been found to penetrate deeper into the skin. She recommends using the product three times a week and if anyone was going to help my genetically dark circles and prominent eye bags I felt confident it would be her.

What I Liked About Dr Sabrina Eye Regenerative LED Mask
I don’t know why but I found this even easier to add into my nightly routine than my current LED mask. Whereas the full LED mask I use to relax and switch off so I feel like I have to use them consciously, these can be applied as you sit and watch TV. I also found myself applying these at random times throughout the day and not just saving them for the evening. I would pop them on whilst working at my desk or reading my book. One of the advantages of working from home is that there are many days I go makeup free, and as this is the only requirement it meant using them was pretty straightforward.
The eye masks are super simple to use, you just press the button and the light comes on and after the required 10 mins it switches off and you’re done. This is great for someone like me who doesn’t have the greatest time-keeping skills. To recharge you simply attach the charger and in a few hours they are ready to use for a good few sessions.
The patches are really sticky so once you pop them in place they will not budge, which I did find a bit tricky at the end of the 10 minutes, as I was wary of peeling off and damaging the thin skin under the eye. I noticed the skin under my eye was noticeably less puffy after use and after three weeks the dark circles had definitely reduced. I will be continuing for the suggesting six weeks and I’m already thinking about ordering my next set of patches as I can see this becoming a permanent fixture in my beauty routine.
Who Would Benefit from Dr Sabrina Eye Regenerative LED Mask?
I think when it comes to dark circles and eye bags there has to be an element of understanding that topical products and devices can only do so much. If you have very hollow under eyes or you’re struggling with prominent bulges this is not going to remove them. It is not in replace of surgical or non-surgical treatments. However, if you’re looking to see subtle results that will improve the appearance under the eye then this is definitely worth a try. I also think this is great if you are starting to notice the area becoming darker or more hollow as this can be used to boost the collagen – collagen banking is thought to be very beneficial for the overall health of the skin.
I also think if you suffer from puffy eyes in the morning or the heat this will help reduce inflammation and may even help prevent the puffiness. I believe in the power of LED, so for me this is a no-brainer if this is your problem area and going under the knife or a needle is not for you.
What to Consider Before Buying Dr Sabrina Eye Regenerative LED Mask
This only targets the eye area, although I did chat to Dr Shah-Desai who suggested it can be used above the eyebrow too. It will not help the overall texture of the skin or improve the elasticity anywhere but the eyes. This is a targeted product for a problem area, not a do-it-all beauty tool that claims to work for everyone.
