Anyone who’s ever shopped for a beauty item, be it makeup or skincare, knows that it can be overwhelming. Each product promises a laundry list of benefits and many can even be used in a variety of ways. Which is why hearing the picks and honest feedback from others is always a help.

Ahead, we do just that. From a blush stick totally worth its price tag, to a tropical-smelling deodorant that’ll make you feel like you’re on holiday, here’s what the POPSUGAR Australia team shopped beauty-wise this month.

Charlotte Tillbury Collagen Lip Bath Rosy Glow ($48)

I recently did a Charlotte Tilbury haul and am obsessed with Collagen Lip Bath in Rosy Glow ($48). It’s so moisturising and as far as plumping formulas go, this has just the right amount of action. I also love the addition of peppermint oil in the formula, it makes it smell heavenly.

Go-To Nifty Fifty ($45)

A massive focus as it becomes warmer this year and the UV gets higher is ensuring I (finally) jump on the SPF train when it comes to my skincare routine. I am loving how my skin looks and feels after a day spent outdoors. I can really see the difference and am loving all the Go-To products, especially this Go-To Nifty Fifty ($45).

Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Oil-Free Moisturiser ($74)

Just like my wardrobe, I’m currently in a transition period with my skin-care routine as we head into spring. So, while I love an oil or thick cream for most of the year, right now I’m really vibing with the Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Oil-Free Moisturiser ($74). It has a lightweight, gel consistency that doesn’t leave a sticky residue on the skin and it layers beautifully underneath my makeup and with SPF. I have extremely sensitive and dry skin, so I prefer moisturisers that are fragrance-free and — for lack of a better word — bland, but this one manages to make bland feel luxurious with its silky texture and the heft of the glass jar.

Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick ($72)

I’m a huge fan of cream blushes, in fact, along with SPF and strong-hold brow gel, a cream blush is a desert-island product. Recently, I was introduced to the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick ($72) in the shade “poppet” and while I immediately thought the hot pink hue would be too stark for my extremely fair skin, it’s actually become my go-to cheek product. There are a few reasons that this one is (in my opinion), worth the hefty price tag. First, the staying power is the best I’ve found in a cream blush (because, as much as I love them, they’re usually the first thing to fade away on my face) and the hot pink gives a very true flush to the cheeks and nose, for my skin tone. Now I just need to buy them in every single shade.

Biologi Bd Luminosity Face Serum ($86.40)

Biologi is the best skincare brand I’ve ever found for my skin – it cleanses and moisturises my oily/combination skin, without adding more oil or drying it out. I totally swear by this new Biologi BD Luminosity Face Serum ($86.40), and I’m in desperate need of a top-up. I’ll be buying some more just in time for the warmer months! A few pumps of this serum after cleansing makes my skin so happy. It literally glows.

Frank Body Clearing Body Wash ($12.95)

A friend gifted me the Frank Body Clearing Body Wash ($12.95) and it is divine! It smells amazing and the pink bottle looks so pretty in my bathroom. I’m also a big long-time fan of the cute and clever quotes Frank Body puts on all their products and this one which reads, “Why Get Mad When You Can Get Even (Skin)”, is no exception. Am finding that this one is great for consistent use, but am especially loving using it after a workout as it leaves me feeling extra clean and fresh.

Esmi Oily Hair Shampoo ($39)

I’m a sucker for cute packaging so appreciate Esmi Oil Hair Shampoo‘s ($$39), which I’ve recently started using. It’s sulphate-free meaning it’s less harsh on hair and as promised, it’s been balancing out my scalp’s oil production so my hair doesn’t look as greasy as quickly.

Frank + Bare All Natural AHA Deoderant ($25)

I recently discovered this Frank + Bare All Natural AHA Deodorant ($25), which I got in coconut and lime. I’m always wary of ‘natural’ deodorants as I’ve found many don’t actually do their job (they had one job!). This one, though, does work — I put it on in the morning and found it lasted all day. Plus, the coconut and lime smell makes me feel like I’m on holiday.
