Donut and croissant-shaped eyeshadow palettes? Count us in! These are the wild and wonderful offerings available in Tanya Hennessy’s carb-themed makeup collection with Models Prefer — Priceline’s own beauty brand. Called ‘The Carb Collection… Again’, Hennessy’s range includes six new scrumptious products and one return bestseller from her 2019 cult collection with the brand.
With two sweet-looking palettes, a mascara and four lip products, this collection is the perfect embodiment of just how fun and whimsical makeup can be. Many of us slather on face products each day to hide or enhance certain features, while this range highlights how makeup can be used simply for enjoyment.
“Fun and escapism is something we all need more of, especially when it comes to makeup, plus permission to be playful and joyful,” Hennessy said in a press release. “The product names scream ‘A-NORMAL-PERSON-DID-THIS-MAKEUP-LINE’. People will froth at the beauty, the fun and the function. Life is hard, but your cosmetics shouldn’t be.”
For those who love bright and bold colours, the Donut for Dinner ($30) palette is for you. With eight wearable and buildable peachy, purple and pink shades, this collection includes mattes, shimmers and a giant highlighter. “It will give you the confidence of a Donut King franchisee,” said Hennessy.
For something a little more subtle, the How Good Are Croissants ($30) palette includes eight buildable nude and bronzey shades and is perfect for those who prefer a smokey eye. The addition of a deep pink glittery shade allows you to experiment with colour as well. “Croissants are the perfect neutral and I love the pink glitter for no good reason,” said Hennessy.
You can also shop these palettes as well as the best-selling I Can’t Apply False Lashes ($16) mascara and various Lip Glaze products via the Priceline website. Get in quick — these won’t last long!
