The Body Cream That Has Over 1000 Reviews Also Won Mecca’s Beauty Election
Investing in body care products is often quite far down the priority list — especially when there are so many fun skincare products to buy and try. Why purchase a body cream when you can try a new serum that everyone is raving about?! We get it! But body care is just as important and there are many, many exciting products in this range.
While it’s important to lather up your body with creams and lotions in winter, making sure you’re hydrating your skin come summer is also just as necessary — especially if you’re spending lots of time in the sun as your skin is probably a little parched.
So, we did the hard work for you and rounded up the top-rated body moisturisers from MECCA. These five creams are highly rated by fellow beauty fans and the most reviewed of the bunch is the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream ($64), with 1075 reviews. This product also won the Best Body category in the MECCA Beauty Election 2021, so you know it’s good!

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
A rich body cream that soaks into your skin quickly, Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream ($64) is formulated with guarana, to stimulate circulation and smooth skin, as well as coconut oil to soften and condition. The addition of capuacu butter, which is high in fatty-acids, helps lock in moisture.
This cult product has over 1000 reviews on the MECCA website and 857 of those are five star. If you’re after a richly moisturising body cream, this is a winner.
“This is the second time I have bought this and although it’s expensive it is well worth the spend as it keeps the skin moisturised,” Gilly wrote in a review on the MECCA website.
Perricone MD Cold Plasma Plus+ Fragile Skin Therapy
Perricone MD’s Cold Plasma Plus+ Fragile Skin Therapy ($70) is a firming and smoothing lotion that helps promote more resilient skin, especially on delicate areas like the arms, elbows and shins.
This product includes micro-hyaluronic acid — a miniaturised version of hyaluronic acid — that smooths and nourishes skin as well as retinol, which encourages skin renewal. With over 400 reviews and 255 five star reviews, this lotion is best for those areas of your body that need a little love.
“This product is amazing, I saw results within two weeks of using it,” Chaya wrote in a review. “It has a great consistency, barely any smell and it leaves your skin perfect.”
Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Lotion
With a lightweight and creamy texture, Soap & Glory’s The Righteous Butter Lotion ($17) is a great budget-friendly body lotion option. The addition of aloe vera helps draw oxygen to the skin and locks in moisture while also encouraging wound healing.
“I’ve used this moisturiser for years! Keeps you moisturised for so long, so useful in winter. Also has THE most gorgeous scent, I always get compliments for it,” Dania wrote.
Go-To Skin Party
With 46 five star reviews (out of 76), Go-To’s Skin Party ($34) is the perfect non-greasy lotion to slather on your body. Skin Party is formulated with sweet almond oil, to hydrate and nourish and glycerin to draw moisture into the skin. Rounding out the moisturising ingredients are shea butter and coconut oil.
“My skin has been so dry in winter and I have been trying different oils/moisturiser but I have gone back to skin party because it makes my skin so soft,” wrote Kena. “I usually don’t like scented moisturisers but this one is subtle and once it’s soaked in you can’t smell it anymore. Will keep purchasing.”
Bangn Body Firming Lotion
A cult product for good reason, Bangn Body’s Firming Lotion ($48) is loved by many. A multi-purpose product, this lotion can be used on your body and face. The lightweight consistency means its fast absorbing and the addition of antioxidants and vitamins help to improve the appearance of skin.
Avocado oil and aloe vera leaf oil help soothe irritation, while green coffee bean extract increases circulation and collagen production to help firm skin.
“Super moisturising, but not oily. Absorbs relatively quickly and a little bit goes a long way. Really helping with stretch marks on a growing baby bump,” wrote Kat.
