Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 32, and his wife, Sam, 55, first met in 2008 on the set of “Nowhere Boy,” and three years later, they tied the knot at Babington House in the UK. Aaron and Sam now have two kids together, daughters Wylda and Romy, while Sam shares daughters Angelica and Jessie with ex-husband Jay Jopling.
When Aaron took home his first Golden Globe for his performance in “Nocturnal Animals” in 2017, the English actor praised his wife in his speech, calling her his “soulmate.” “I want to thank my wife for being there with me and supporting me through this,” he said, per Us Weekly. “You’re my soulmate and I love you very much. I’m blessed. I have four beautiful daughters.”
In June 2022, the couple renewed their vows for their 10th wedding anniversary. “We renewed our vows to one another and confessed our love in front of our nearest and dearest friends and family it was a celebration of love and joy!” Aaron wrote on Instagram alongside a photo from their ceremony. “A decade of marriage. It was a magical unforgettable day and the sun did not stop shining on us both.. we are blessed beyond belief. ❤️ Sammy you are my love, my life, my soulmate, my wife, my world! ❤️.”

2008: Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson Meet
The couple met on the set of their movie “Nowhere Boy,” in which Aaron starred as John Lennon and Sam directed. “I remember it very, very clearly. I know exactly what she was wearing. This white shirt that she still has, that I love. It definitely changed my life, though not in the way I expected,” Aaron recalled to Harper’s Bazaar in 2019. According to the couple, the two “were very professional through the entire film.” Sam added, “But everyone on set knew. And as soon as we finished, he told me he was going to marry me. We had never been on a date, or even kissed.”

Aaron proposed to Sam exactly one year after they first met. “A year to the minute after we met, exactly one year to the minute, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me,” he told Harper’s Bazaar.

2012: Sam and Aaron Taylor-Johnson Get Married and Welcome Their Second Child Together
The pair welcomed another daughter, Romy Hero, in January 2012. Five months later, they wed in Somerset, England, and changed their last name to Taylor-Johnson. “I just don’t see why women need to take the man’s name,” Aaron told London’s Evening Standard of the name change. “I wanted to be a part of her just as much as she wanted to be part of me.”
