Rumour Has it Adele Is Releasing Music as Soon as This Week, So it’s Time to Grab the Tissues
Rumour has it, Adele could be releasing new music soon, and by soon I mean this week.
Fans of the singer have been waiting a long time for this moment, with the 33-year-old last releasing music back in 2015.
A lot has happened since then. Not only has the Rolling in the Deep star gone through a complete transformation, but she also filed for divorce from her husband of five years.
While there’s been no official announcement from her end about new music, a few things happened this week that eagle-eyed fans caught on to.
On Tuesday, radio host Mauler tweeted: “New Adele. This week” before quickly deleting it. Shortly after, the Billboard Charts Twitter account tweeted Adele’s stats throughout the years on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200.
But despite the former quickly removing his tweet, it didn’t take long for the internet to latch on, sending her fans wild.
“SHE IS F—ING COMING I FEEL IT,” one user tweeted.
If the rumours turn out to be true, we’re certain she will break records almost immediately.
Adele has a stellar track record of topping charts and sweeping up Grammys. Her previous albums, 19, 21 and 25 have sold 59 million copies around the world (2 million of those in Australia), and she’s won an Academy Award for her song Skyfall, which she recorded for the James Bond movie with the same name.
The superstar also went on to do an international tour in 2017, with each show selling out almost instantly. Her two concerts in Sydney broke records, selling almost 200,000 tickets.
The first concert was the biggest Australia has ever hosted, and that record was broken the following evening during her second concert.
The show was held at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium, a venue that hasn’t hosted such a huge amount of people since the 2000 Olympic Games.
So if Adele is really releasing new music, then we say bring it on.
