After weeks of speculation, Braxton Berrios and Alix Earle seem to have confirmed their relationship with a joint appearance at the 2023 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles on July 12. Berrios walked the red carpet in a snazzy pink suit while Earle rocked a sleek black leather dress.
The Miami Dolphins wide receiver and the TikTok superstar influencer sparked rumors they were dating in late June when Earle shared a TikTok of a romantic date night that featured a mystery man fans swiftly clocked as Berrios.
Controversy also surrounded the rumored new couple, however, as Berrios was accused of cheating on his ex of two years, Sophia Culpo, who he claims to have split with in January. In a now-deleted June TikTok video, Culpo claimed she and Berrios actually broke up Super Bowl weekend in February after she reportedly caught the football player kissing another woman.
“Not bitter, in fact I know the situation has been one of my biggest blessings. I wish everyone in this situation all the best, including myself, which is why I’m here to share the truth so I can finally be done with all of this,” Culpo wrote in the post, along with screenshots of text messages with Berrios that appear to confirm her version of their breakup timeline. “All love,” she concluded.
Despite cryptically posting about Berrios often on her TikTok, Earle denied they were dating in a TikTok comment in June, writing, “We’re not even ‘dating’ but just hard for me to not share stuff w u guys hahahaha.”
The ESPY Awards seem to be the hard launch fans were waiting for. Reps for Earle did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request to confirm their relationship, while representatives for Berrios could not be reached.
