“Bling Empire” star Anna Shay has died at age 62, POPSUGAR confirms. “It saddens our hearts to announce that Anna Shay, a loving mother, grandmother, charismatic star, and our brightest ray of sunshine, has passed away at the early age of 62 from a stroke,” Shay’s family said in a statement on June 5. “Anna taught us many life lessons on how not to take life too seriously and to enjoy the finer things. Her impact on our lives will be forever missed but never forgotten.” People was the first to report the news.
Shay famously starred on Netflix’s “Bling Empire” from 2021 to 2022. The heiress was the daughter of Ai-San and Edward Shay. Shay’s father was a billionaire who made a fortune when he founded Pacific Architects and Engineers, an American defense and government services contractor worth over $2 billion, in 1955, per Newsweek. Following her father’s death, Anna and her brother Allen received his shares in the company, and in 2006, they sold it to Lockheed Martin for $1.2 billion in an all-cash deal. Shay’s net worth rose to $600 million at the time.
While Shay kept her personal relationships out of the spotlight, she was married and divorced four times. She is survived by her 29-year-old son, Kenny Kemp.
