Australian Survivor: Nina Twine Steps Out of Her Mother’s Shadow and Closer to Glory
“Australian Survivor” fan-favourite Nina Twine is back with a vengeance for the new season of “Heroes vs Villains“. After being forced to leave early in last year’s “Blood Vs Water“, the determined competitor is ready to make up for lost time and has her sights set on victory.
Her mother, Sandra Diaz-Twine, won the “Survivor: Heroes Vs Villains” season, so this season holds special significance for Nina. She sees herself as a “Hero raised by a Villain,” giving her a unique perspective and advantage in the competition.
The way things ended for Nina last season can only be described as a bad break up — emphasis on the break. After fracturing her ankle in a reward challenge, the princess of “Survivor” was forced to withdraw from the game. But time heals all wounds, and Nina is ready to give things another shot.
“It was nobody’s choice, like it just had to happen, so I got a lot of things I need to do,” Nina said of last season, and her decision to return to the game. “Me and ‘Australian Survivor’ are not done, we had a break, we went to therapy, we talked things through and now I’m back and we’re ready to go again.”

Nina is ready to move on and prove that winning this season is her destiny (or quite possibly her birthright).
Although she’s willing to extend kindness to new faces, Nina warns the Villains not to underestimate her or the Heroes. Her experience as a retail sales associate and her previous involvement in the game have prepared her for the physical and mental challenges ahead.
Her sights are set on the $500,000 and fans are definitely keen to find out if she’ll take it home.
