Bebe Rexha is updating her fans after she was rushed off stage during her New York City concert on Sunday after someone in the crowd threw a cellphone that hit her in the head. On Monday morning, the “Seasons” singer posted two photos on her Instagram that showed bruising around her eye and what appears to be a cut beneath her eyebrow.
Despite the scary experience, Rexha appeared to be in good spirits. In the first photo, she flashed the camera a thumbs up and a small smile, while the second detailed her injuries. “Im good,” she captioned the post.
Both the singer’s famous friends and fans alike showed their support for her in the comments. “I hope they caught the person-this is awful. So sorry that happened,” Chrishell Stause commented. Aquaria added, “Hate hate hate seeing this ? sending u big love today especially.” Meanwhile, Pete Wentz left three heart emoji on her post.
A concertgoer posted a video of the incident on social media shortly after it occurred. In the video, someone near the stage appears to throw a cellphone at the singer’s face mid-performance. After the phone made contact, Rexha dropped to her knees as her crew members rushed to her aid. Per Variety, the singer was taken to a local hospital via EMS. The outlet also reports that a 27-year-old male was taken into custody and arrested at the scene by the New York City police.
Rexha’s concert was part of her “Best F’n Night of My Life” tour. She still has five concerts remaining in the tour, with stops scheduled in Philadelphia, Washington DC, Atlanta, Orlando, and Houston. The singer has not yet addressed whether or not her last five tour dates will be affected by the incident in New York.
