Blue Ivy Carter showed some serious star power on Friday night when she joined her mom, Beyoncé, onstage at her Renaissance World Tour stop in Paris. Proud grandma Tina Knowles-Lawson shared footage from her granddaughter’s special moment on Instagram. In the video, Blue Ivy dances front and center as Beyoncé performs “My Power.” In a second video, Beyoncé’s mom also revealed her granddaughter danced during “Black Parade” as well.
The 11-year-old matched her mom and the other dancers in a silvery, sequined top and silver pants for both performances. After she nailed the choreography, Blue Ivy raised her fist in the air as the crowd chanted her name. It was a triumphant moment for Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s oldest daughter, who has been showing signs that she might follow in her mom’s footsteps ever since she took home her first Grammy at the age of 9 for her work on “Brown Skin Girl.”
For her part, Knowles-Lawson couldn’t have been prouder of her oldest granddaughter. “Last night I saw my beautiful grandbaby (11) dance in the front of almost 70 thousand people !” she captioned her post. “She killed it and was as cool as a cucumber! Blue Ivy Carter ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ No Fear❤️❤️.”
This isn’t the first time Blue Ivy has joined Beyoncé onstage. In January, the mom-daughter duo performed a duet of “Brown Skin Girl” during the “Break My Soul” singer’s set at the new Atlantis The Royal Resort in Dubai. Videos from the night showed Beyoncé running her fingers through her daughter’s braids and smiling at her as they sang together.
Blue Ivy is the oldest of Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s three children. The couple also share soon-to-be 5-year-old twins Rumi and Sir. While the twins have stayed out of the spotlight so far, it’s clear their big sister is already a rising star.
