Brianne Howey is going to be a mom! The “Ginny & Georgia” star shared her pregnancy news on Instagram on March 16. She posted a photo of herself dressed for the Hugo Boss fashion show and wrote in the caption, “@boss show with my forever new +1.” She added a heart face and brown heart emoji, and her brown maxi dress perfectly accentuated her growing baby bump. Her costar Antonia Gentry was one the first to congratulate her in the comments, writing, “so. happy. for. you.”
Howey married husband Matt Ziering in July 2021. Ziering works as a lawyer in Los Angeles, and they met while out with friends. “We ran into each other three nights in a row at a couple bars in L.A.,” Howey told Los Angeles magazine in 2021, with her husband adding that they had mutual friends. They also have a dog named Bodie.
Howey is still celebrating the successful premiere of “Ginny & Georgia” season two, which debuted on Netflix in January. She plays Georgia, a single mom whose just 15 years older than her daughter, Ginny. She told POPSUGAR about the part in March, “The character of Georgia and the story automatically jumps off the page . . . I’ve never read such a dynamic female character.” She added, “I loved that she was a mom. I love that she’s living in the gray area. I love that you don’t know if you’re supposed to root for her.”
Howey also said that one of her big inspirations for the role was growing up with four younger siblings of her own. “I would do absolutely anything for them,” Howey explained. “Watching them grow up and navigate this world can be heartbreaking at times. And I totally saw that with Ginny.” The show has yet to be renewed for a third season.
Congrats to the happy family!
