Lindsay Lohan Announces Engagement to Bader Shammas
Our favourite Mean Girl has said yes! Lindsay Lohan recently made the announcement that she was engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Bader Shammas, sharing a series of happy snaps of the two of them on Instagram.
“My love. My life. My family. My future. #love” she captioned the carousel. Showing off her stunning princess cut diamond ring, the 35-year-old looked thrilled. Shammas, who works in Dubai where Lindsay has lived for the last seven years, is employed as an Assistant Vice President at banking firm Credit Suisse.
The two choose to remain fairly private and have kept their relationship away from the private eye. Lindsay has also taken a step back from acting but is set to feature in a new Netflix holiday movie alongside Glee actor Chord Overstreet.

Everything You Need to Know About Encanto, a Magical Tale of Family and Expectations
The film is based around the Madrigals, an extraordinary family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called the Encanto. Every member of the family has been bestowed their own unique gift, except Mirabel.
The hard work that went into this film is evident, and there’s no doubt that directors and writers Byron Howard, Charise Castro Smith and Jared Bush really brought their phenomenal vision to life. And of course, no Disney movie is complete without magical musical numbers, and Encanto had the very best on their side with Hamilton writer Lin–Manuel Miranda.
“We started with this idea about telling a story about an extended family because it’s something we haven’t really done at Disney. We typically focus on a small number of characters, but A lot of us, when we got together at the beginning of this film five years ago, talked about our large, extended families,” Byron Howard told POPSUGAR Australia.

Brooke Blurton and Abbie Chatfield are Feuding
In case you haven’t heard, The Bachelorette star Brooke Blurton is beefing with Abbie Chatfield, and it’s certainly been a wild 24 hours. It all started after the show’s finale was aired when Brooke claimed the pair are on good terms, but Abbie and Konrad’s relationship leaking to the press did cause a dip in ratings.
But yesterday, the 26-year-old spoke out against the former Bachelor contestant, calling her a “narcissist” and saying she is “another white woman displaying what white privilege looks like.” While she didn’t mention her name in the statement, it was fairly evident who she was talking about, and it didn’t take long for Abbie to respond to her accusations. There’s a lot to catch up on, so we’ve broken it down so you can get up to speed.

Hulu Released an Astroworld Special Shortly After the Tragedy – and People Are Outraged
Hulu is in hot water with a news special on the Astroworld tragedy. The Astroworld: Concert From Hell special hit the streamer less than a month after the music festival resulted in the loss of 10 lives and hundreds of injuries. Outrage around it began on social media on Dec. 1 after several Twitter users pointed out the new upload on Hulu’s platform.
The log line for the special describes it as a “minute-by-minute look at what happened in the crowd, the young victims who were killed, and what happens next.” The special was originally hosted by ABC and aired on Nov. 24. However, that didn’t stop people from voicing their opinions on the timing of the 50-minute news report making its way to Hulu as families affected are still mourning.
“Astroworld victims haven’t been put in the ground yet, and the media already has a special on Hulu,” one Twitter user wrote. “We are in hell.” Another wrote, “Hulu has a series out about the Astroworld event. Like why are they trying to capitalise off of a tragic event,” and posted a screenshot of the special.
