Byron Baes just recently dropped on Netflix, and while the feedback has been uh … mixed, to say the least, viewers are already wanting to know whether there’s going to be a second season.
The reality TV show centres around a group of influencers hailing from the northern NSW town of Byron Bay. But these aren’t just any ol’ Instagram personalities, instead, they’re young entrepreneurs who are hustling to make their dreams come true.
When the show was first announced, it attracted a fair amount of criticism from Byron Bay locals, saying it’s “misrepresenting who we are, and it’s totally wrong.”
And while things didn’t get much better after the show began airing, people still tuned in and it quickly became one of the most talked-about series, competing with TV giants Married At First Sight and Australian Survivor.
So, Will There Be a Season 2 of Byron Baes?
As of right now, Byron Baes has not been renewed for a second season but that doesn’t mean it’s been ruled out completely. It’s always hard to predict what shows Netflix will choose to keep and which ones the streaming service will boot, but if the series does get the green light, fans can expect it to drop in March 2023.
That’s because Netflix usually releases seasons of original TV shows a year apart, with a few exceptions of course (The Crown and Stranger Things, we’re looking at you).
