Halloween offers celebrities a chance to put on their costumes and many of them tend to go all-out, dressing as everything from gigantic worms to beloved and nostalgic movie characters. Now and then, though, stars take the opportunity to dress up as other stars, creating everything from hilarious imitations to tributes to various cultural icons. It’s always fun to see recognizable faces imitate other equally recognizable faces, reminding us that stars are also fans just like the rest of us.
Whether they’re dressing up as Amal and George Clooney, referencing Miley Cyrus‘s infamous MTV Video Music Awards look from 2013, or impersonating Ariana Grande, all of these costumes are a whole lot of fun, and many of them are stunningly accurate. Pop stars seem to be a favorite choice for celebrity Halloween costumes – and Britney Spears costumes have been particularly popular in 2023, perhaps thanks to the recent release of her memoir. But over the years, plenty of stars have stepped out as everything from athletes to artists and so much more. From Nina Dobrev as Billie Eilish to Lil Nas X as Ice Spice, each of these stars nailed their costume choices.
