Confirmed: Cody Simpson Is Dating Decorated Olympian Emma McKeon

Once upon a time, Cody Simpson was best known for his music, but now, the Aussie pop star is dipping his toes in the world of swimming.

And what a journey it’s been so far. Simpson, who has been training non-stop in the hopes of reaching the Olympics, has been giving it his absolute all while also continuing to release music on the side.

Now, it’s been confirmed that the singer and athlete is in a relationship with Australia’s most decorated Olympic gold swimmer, Emma McKeon.

Both residing on the Gold Coast, Simpson and McKeon have been spending their time training for the upcoming Commonwealth Games and hopefully, for Simpson, the 2024 Olympics.

Cody Confirmed His Relationship Status on Instagram

After months of speculation surrounding Simpson and McKeon’s relationship status, the 25-year-old revealed where they stand in an Instagram post.

The photo, which showed the two of them walking hand in hand in Sant Pere, Barcelona, was captioned, “A brief rendezvous in Barcelona with my love Emma McKeon.”

The couple looked sunkissed and happy as they enjoyed their holiday together. Fans of the two of them were thrilled with the news, dubbing them an “iconic Aussie duo”.

“Oh you guys are beautiful together,” one comment said.

“I can’t even be jealous y’all are perfect!” added another.

Simpson’s Mum Approves of the Relationship

Angie Simpson couldn’t be more thrilled when speaking to Woman’s Day about her son’s relationship with McKeon.

“I adore them as a couple, and they’re lovely friends to boot. Being on the Australian team together makes my heart sing — she’s there for Cody for all the right reasons,” she said.

“She’s a few years older — her maturity and cool head are the sort of qualities Cody adores in a woman.

“They’re two beautiful souls who fit together so well.

“With those gorgeous smiles, they’re like a couple of Cheshire cats — as a mum, that makes me so happy.”

Simpson has had several high-profile relationships in the past, with his exes being Miley Cyrus, Gigi Hadid and Kylie Jenner.

The power couple opened up to reporter Denham Hitchcock about the dynamic the two of them share ahead of the Commonwealth Games.
