The final couple to walk down the aisle on Married at First Sight was Jaimie Gardner, a 35-year-old brand manager from Sydney and Chris Jensen, a 32-year-old FIFO driller from the Sunshine Coast.
While it looked like the perfect match from the outside, Gardner was quick to tell producers that Jensen was “not her type”.
“I’m not a huge fan of the hair and I’m not a nose ring kind of girl,” Gardner said after meeting her husband.
Jensen, on the other hand, described his new wife as a “confident” and “smart woman” who was “incredibly beautiful”.
“It seems like exactly my type at this point,” he said. “I’m feeling like a very lucky man. Hopefully, I’m good enough for her. I don’t know.”
Gardner’s official bio from Channel 9 says that she is a career-driven woman who has spent her time growing up on her parent’s farm.
She is close to her family and is the youngest of four and in the past, has dated high flying executives who have been emotionally unavailable. Now, she is looking for someone who is committed to settling down. She’s also looking for someone adventurous, driven and mentally stimulating — something we think Jensen has in spades.
Unfortunately, the pair don’t seem to be a match-made-in-heaven, with Gardner seemingly finding a lot wrong with her fake TV husband. Not only does she not find him attractive, but she also thinks he doesn’t wash his hands after using the bathroom and asks him if she can “smell” them. Defending himself, Jensen insisted he had absolutely done so.
Sounds like Gardner’s high standards may break this couple up before they’ve even had a chance.
