We’ve barely recovered from this year’s season of Farmer Wants A Wife (anyone still processing Hayley Love’s pregnancy!?) but Channel 7 have already announced the new crop of farmers who will appear on the show in 2022.
Next year, the show is going to switch things up in a major way, with one farmer actually looking for a husband. Farmer Ben, Farmer Benjamin, Farmer Harry, Farmer James and Farmer Will are all wanting a wife, but 27-year-old Farmer Paige on the other hand is hoping to nab herself a husband.
Along with being introduced to the eligible bachelors and bachelorette, the network has announced that Natalie Gruzlewski will be returning as host, while former Sunrise presenter Samantha Armytage will be appearing on the show as a mentor.
Farmer Wants A Wife is generally known to be a wholesome, family-friendly show … until this year. After the finale aired, former contestant Hayley Love dropped a bombshell, saying she was pregnant with Farmer Will’s child, despite not being paired with him during her short stint.
What ensued was a messy social media war, with Will questioning whether the child was even his to a fellow contestant labelling him as a “narcissist”.
We’re sure Channel 7 have learnt from the debacle and will make sure this year’s season goes down a lot smoother. And with a woman at the helm for the very first time, it will be interesting to see how everything plays out.
While we haven’t been told a premiere date just yet, we’re sure details will begin to slowly come out as we inch closer to the start of the season.
