“Farmer Wants a Wife” 2023 has been nothing short of a wild ride. Farmer Andrew kicked off the season by quitting mid-way after finding his perfect match, but who did the other farmers choose? On Sunday night, Channel 7 revealed two more of the “Farmer Wants a Wife” finale couples, and now, all five of our farmers have found love.
Throughout the season, viewers have been rooting for Farmer Brad, Farmer David, Farmer Brenton, Farmer Matt, and Farmer Andrew to find their soulmates. Channel 7 had promised that this year, every farmer would find their happily ever after, and it seems they have delivered.
Of course, this is just the finale. Now it’s time for a big reunion, where we’ll see which couples have gone the distance since the cameras stopped rolling. But until then…
Who Did the Farmers Choose? Meet the “Farmer Wants a Wife” Finale Couples
Farmer Brad and Clare
For Farmer Brad, it all came down to Clare and Morgan. It was a tough decision, of course, as it always is after the farmers have spent a season building these different relationships. But when it came down to decision time, there was only one choice for Farmer Brad, and that was Clare.
Clare seemed a bit unsure and anxious going into their final chat, but was soon put at ease, as Farmer Brad declared his feelings for her.
“I feel as though we just want the same things in life, where we’re cut from the same cloth,” Farmer Brad said. “We want to have a family, and to get married, and, you know, to raise a family on the farm.”
Clare laughed, looking relieved as she realised what he meant.
“To think that I started this journey in the hope to fall in love with someone, and I am,” Farmer Brad continued. “I’m falling in love with you, and I’m very excited about what the future has in store for us. So if you wanna give this a go, and give this crazy world a try, I’d love to see where we can end up.”
Clare was giddy, and quickly told Brad that she felt the same.
“I have fallen so in love with you Brad,” she said, laughing and crying at the same time as she agreed to give things a go IRL. The new couple shared a hug and a kiss, relieved to have found one another.
Farmer Brenton and Sophie
Over the season, Farmer Brenton had formed a strong connection with both Sophie and Rachel. But after the hometown visits, it was time for him to make a decision, and in the end, it was Sophie who had won Farmer Brenton’s heart.
“Soph, I’ve never felt like this with anyone,” he began.
In an emotional exchange, Farmer Brenton said that the couple had already made “so many memories” together.
“I can’t wait to take you back to the farm,” he said. Sophie wiped away tears as she laughed with joy.
“You’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever met, Soph,” he declared. “I think I’m falling in love with you. That’s all I can say!”
Farmer Matt and Olivia
It was a tough decision for Farmer Matt to choose between Olivia and Annabelle. While he had a strong connection with Olivia throughout the season, Annabelle’s reluctance to open up made it hard for them to communicate.
During a visit to Olivia’s family in Wollongong, Farmer Matt learned that Olivia wasn’t planning to move to the farm immediately but would visit him on the weekends. This revelation took Farmer Matt by surprise, as he had assumed that she would be willing to make the move.
Despite the potential strain that long distance might cause, Farmer Matt’s love for Olivia was too strong to ignore. He took the risk and declared his love.
“I think I’ve known for a while that I have fallen in love with you, and I’m really glad I finally get to say it,” he told Olivia.
Farmer David and Emily
Farmer David was torn between Lorelei and Emily. During his visit to Brisbane, he was confronted by Emily’s parents, who asked him tough questions about his intentions for their daughter. Emily’s mother was particularly curious about where David stood in his life and if he was truly ready to settle down.
David had also developed a strong connection with Lorelei, which left him feeling torn between the two women.
“I’m faced with the situation where I can see a pretty happy future with both the girls,” he admitted.
Despite the difficult decision, Farmer David eventually came to the realisation that his heart was with Emily.
Farmer Andrew and Claire
From the beginning, there was a spark between Andrew and Claire. As the show progressed, Andrew found himself falling for her. He realised that he had strong feelings for her and wanted to explore a relationship with her outside of the show.
“Those days when I was away, I realised I missed seeing you and was looking forward to seeing you again,” he told her.
“My feelings have changed and as time was shared with you… Claire, I’m falling in love with you.”
When he confessed his love to her, Claire was surprised but thrilled. She felt the same way and was excited about the possibility of a future with Andrew.
And there you have it! Those are all our “Farmer Wants a Wife” finale couples. But which ones are still together? For that, tune in next week for the big reunion.
