Netflix is taking us back to Boyle Heights for season two of Gentefied. On Oct. 13, the streamer released the trailer for the second installment, which shows the Morales cousins – Ana (Karrie Martin Lachney), Chris (Carlos Santos), and Erik (J.J. Soria) – fighting to keep their grandfather Pop (Joaquín Cosío) in the country as he faces deportation. The short clip also gives fans a peek at Chris’s father and his new love interest. Gentefied Season 2 Plot
Set in Los Angeles’s Boyle Heights neighbourhood, Gentefied centres on three Mexican-American cousins chasing the American dream and navigating the challenges of caring for their grandfather and working at their family’s taco shop. Season two will follow the Morales cousins as they fight for their immigrant grandfather Pop to stay in the country, all while balancing their own personal lives, which include new romances, new babies, and estranged fathers.
