The first episode of The Bachelor aired on Wednesday night, and we just can’t get enough.
While there was plenty of romance and hilarity that ensued, one of the stand-out factors were the incredible dresses worn by the bachelorettes. Namely, Jay, who was one of the few that rocked a sparkly mini dress for the occasion.
POPSUGAR Australia caught up with Kim Hurwitz, the stylist behind the phenomenal looks to find out the thought process behind what the women wear.
“First night arrivals is my favourite night of the year,” said Kim. “I love the transformation from the lady arriving in her casual clothes to when she walks out after being glammed by hair and makeup, wearing a gown and beautiful jewellery. It’s exciting to see the looks come to life!”
Jay arrived on the red carpet looking dazzling in a beaded Portia & Scarlett dress, as she rocked a pair of Amina Muaddi Begum dupes, which cost an affordable $109.95.
A pretty solid deal if you take into account the original designer version will set you back a cool $1300.
She kept the accessories to a minimum, so as not to take away from the dress.
Kim ended up choosing a set of Roxy Jacenko earrings to finish off the look, which was the perfect finishing touch.
And hey, the entire vibe seemed to do the trick, as Jay became the first lady to be given a rose by Jimmy along with the key to the business lounge so the two can enjoy some alone time.
