“Gladiators”: a show organised for adrenaline-fuelled pandemonium. All the contestants are jacked, ready to battle, and hungry to win. What’s more, “Gladiators” are embracing this energy by naming one of its participants Chaos.
If you’ve never heard of “Gladiators“, then strap in for the ride of your life. In this series, a group of contestants race through obstacle courses, participate in aerial-based fights, and smash into each other at full speed. There’s even a gigantic pyramid that the Gladiators must race to the top of.
According to Liz Ellis, the co-host of “Gladiators”, the pyramid is one of the most exciting aspects of this series.
“Watching the Gladiators and the Contenders tumble up these steps made from foam?” Liz told The Latch. “It’s just phenomenal.”
As the host of the series, Liz was technically not allowed to climb up this monument. However, she was able to sneak in a few races.
“A couple of times, we snuck past the safety guys and got to the top of the pyramid,” Liz said. “But then every time we came down, because I’m such a baby giraffe, the safety guys were like ‘Ahhhh!’ — When I was jumping down, I’m sure they thought I was going to break my neck.”
Which brings us back to Chaos. Will this gladiatorial warrior be able to conquer the pyramid? Can they live up to their name? Survive the organised pandemonium? Or will this contestant go down in flames?
Here is everything that we know about the Gladiator Chaos.
Who is the “Gladiator” Chaos?
In 2024, “Gladiators” Chaos is being performed by Jaymi Morris, a 30-year-old representing NSW. Jaymi is best known for being the fourth strongest female powerlifter on the planet and holding the largest deadlift record holder that’s under 90kg. She can pull an 11-tonne truck, deadlift 275kg, and squat 250kg.
As Chaos, Jaymi is bringing a level of unpredictability to this series. Chaos likes to toy with her opponents, taunting them as she crushes their souls with her might.
On social media, Jaymi has been bringing some wonderful yet chaotic energy to her posts.
“Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of the CHAOS,” Jaymi wrote on Facebook, “and sometimes in the middle of CHAOS you find YOURSELF.”
“Gladiators” is set to premiere at 7.30pm on Monday, January 15, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand. Miss its premiere? Catch up on 10 Play.
