Matt Bomer and Husband Simon Halls Have a House Full of 3 Sons – Including Twins!
Matt Bomer and his husband, Simon Halls, have a house full of boys. The “Fellow Travelers” actor and Hollywood publicist share three sons: Kit and twins Henry and Walker, all born via surrogacy and all of whom love to tag along with their famous dads to their events. Previously, the boys have shown up to high-profile red carpets alongside Bomer. The family of five most recently attended Carrie Fisher’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on May 4.
While Bomer and Halls’s kids have stepped into the spotlight with them every now and then, the couple – who privately wed in 2011 – are in no rush to see their boys explore fame on their own. “I don’t want anybody out on stage any time soon,” Bomer told People back in 2015. “I want them to have a nice, normal childhood.”
More importantly, the “Maestro” actor and his husband want their sons to enjoy being teens for as long as they can before jumping into show business, which means helping them cultivate their own creativity. “[We go] to art museums [and read] art books. We’ve got a lot of photography books and art books,” Halls shared with People, while Bomer added, “We try to select schools for them over the course of their lives that encourage them.”

Kit Halls
Kit Halls was born in 2005. He’s Bomer and Halls’s oldest son, and was born via surrogate. He’s a big fan of the San Francisco 49ers, just like Bomer, and has been going to games for years. Kit is tight with his younger brothers and used to share photos of them hanging out on Instagram from time to time.
Back in 2019, Bomer shared a funny story about Kit with RuPaul, saying that his oldest “came out” as straight to him and Halls. “He said, ‘I love and respect that you guys are who you are. I’m straight, that’s how I identify,'” the actor recalled. He called it a “big, nice, sweet moment.”
Henry and Walker Halls
Twins Henry and Walker Halls (both pictured to the far left), Bomer and Hall’s youngest sons, were born in 2008, also via surrogate. As kids, the pair tended to stay out of the spotlight because of their age, though Henry did go as Bomer’s date to the 2019 Tony Awards. And though all of the actor’s sons are supportive of his work, he previously joked to Entertainment Tonight that he keeps playing roles that aren’t quite appropriate for them to watch.
“I just have to make sure that I start working on more things that they can see!” he told the outlet in 2018. “‘Cause they’re like, ‘You do this, but then we can’t watch it.’ I’m like, ‘When you’re older maybe!'” In that case, Bomer’s steamy “Fellow Travelers” period drama with Jonathan Bailey is definitely off-limits until his kids are grown.
