The current season of Married At First Sight is still on the air, and wow, what a train wreck it has been. But while we’re still trying to process everything happening on screen, producers for the show are already looking ahead to the next season.
Have you been unlucky in love? Or maybe you just want to grow your Instagram following. Whatever the reason, you can now apply to take part in season 10 of MAFS. Channel 9 has issued a casting call to “men and women of all ages and backgrounds who are genuinely committed to finding love”.
So if that tickles your fancy, just make sure to block out four months in your calendar, between early July and November this year. The details also clearly state that there is no cash prize up for grabs so tough luck if you were in it for the money.
If you are considering applying, just know only a handful of couples have stayed together, and most of the relationships don’t actually work out.
Some may say I sound like a pessimist, but I like to think I’m a realist. The most well-known couple to come out of the franchise is Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson from season six, who are married and share a one-year-old son, Oliver.
Another couple who has climbed up the ranks is Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli who have a combined following 926,000 on Instagram, and got engaged in December last year.
And possibly the most surprising of all is Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson from season eight who welcomed twin boys, Levi and Tate, in October.
