Hold onto your hats, folks, because it’s time for another season of “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” Season 9 is finally here, and it’s already delivering the laughs and chaos that we all know and love.

After two seasons of being forced to film in northern New South Wales due to COVID, the borders are finally open, and we’re coming to you live from the South African jungle. And of course, we couldn’t have I’m a Celeb without our dynamic duo, Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown, who are back to host the madness.

And if you’re tuning in and thinking, ‘Wait, who are these people?’ don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We’ll give you the lowdown on each celeb, what they’re known for, where you’ve seen them before, and what charity they’re competing for. Get ready for another wild ride!

Peter Helliar

For over 20 years, Peter has been slaying audiences with his stand-up performances all across Australia, and selling out shows left, right and centre.

You might remember him from his early days on Rove Live in the late 90s. But Peter’s career has since exploded into all sorts of entertainment and comedy ventures. From radio to screenwriting, producing and co-starring in feature films and TV series.

This multi-talented comedian even created and co-produced two seasons of the award-winning show “It’s A Date”. As well as writing, directing, and starring in all three seasons of the popular dramedy “How To Stay Married”.

Peter is a familiar face on our TV screens, having co-hosted The Project on Network 10 from 2014 to the end of 2022. But that’s not all — he also hosts the hilarious cinema podcast “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet”, and “Family Feud: The Podcast”, produced for Apple.

But Peter’s biggest challenge yet? Making kids laugh! That’s right, this funnyman authored a much-loved children’s book series called “Frankie Fish”, which he dedicated to his three “champions” — Liam, Aidan, and Oscar. And if that wasn’t enough, he even released another children’s book called “Herman Crab” at the end of 2022.

“I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” airs at 7.30pm, Sunday – Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
