Jordan Peele is working on another horror movie, and we’re intrigued. Following the initial announcement of the film last year, we now have an official title. On Thursday, Universal Pictures revealed that the director’s upcoming film will be titled Nope as they gave the first look at the poster. While the film’s actual plot is being kept under wraps, we do know a handful of significant details, including the cast and release date.
Written and directed by Peele, the film will star Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira, and Brandon Perea. Peele previously worked with Kaluuya for his directorial debut film, Get Out, making this a full-circle moment for the duo. Based on the first poster, which features a kite tail hanging out of a cloud and a nearby town, fans are already theorising that the movie could be about an alien invasion. Maybe Nope is actually an acronym for a secret government agency? Of course, the cloud could also be a reference to angels. Honestly, with Peele, the possibilities are endless! The film is set to be released July 22, 2022, so keep your eyes “peeled” for more details.
