The “Dawson’s Creek” alum and the “Queen & Slim” star were first linked together in October 2018 when they were spotted canoodling at Usher‘s 40th birthday party (over two years after Jackson ended his decade-long relationship with Diane Kruger).
Over the past five years, Jackson and Turner-Smith seemed inseparable as they traveled the world and welcomed a daughter together. On Oct. 2, however, Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their breakup. She also listed Sept. 13, 2023 as their separation date. Dating rumors first started circulating after Jackson and Turner-Smith both attended Usher‘s 40th birthday party at West Hollywood’s Delilah on Oct. 14, 2018. Though it’s unclear whether they knew each other before the party or met there, a source for Us Weekly claimed that the two looked pretty cozy together. “They were all over each other,” the insider said. “Super smitten and gazing into each other’s eyes as they danced together their whole night.”

November 2019: Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith Make Their Red Carpet Debut
Three months after visiting the California courthouse, Jackson accompanied Turner-Smith on the red carpet for the LA premiere of “Queen & Slim.” Even more eye-catching than Turner-Smith’s silky lilac gown was the massive marquise diamond on her left ring finger, which complemented the new three-band gold ring worn by Jackson.

December 2019: The News Breaks That Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith Are Expecting
One month after making their official couple debut, Us Weekly confirmed that the couple had indeed tied the knot in a secret ceremony. The publication also announced that the newlyweds were expecting their first child together. While chatting with the Sunday Times in February 2020, Turner-Smith confirmed the exciting news of the pregnancy herself, though she was more tight-lipped about their marital status. “I haven’t said to anybody, ‘Yeah, we got married,'” she said. “People are assuming whatever they want, but when people tell me ‘Congratulations,’ I say ‘Thank you.'” Soon after, she shared a cute Valentine’s Day IG post in honor of her “baby daddy.”

October 2023: Jodie Turner-Smith Files For Divorce From Joshua Jackson
On Oct. 2, Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson after four years of marriage. In court documents obtained by POPSUGAR, Turner-Smith listed Aug. 18, 2019, as their wedding date and Sept. 13, 2023, as their separation date. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. Turner-Smith is also requesting joint custody of their daughter.
