In case you missed out, rumours were flying around that the queen of reality TV, Kim Kardashian is holidaying it up in Far North Queensland with her boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
It seemed too good to be true, and turns out, it was. A local cafe manager in Cairns added fuel to the fire by telling the media that the couple dined at his restaurant, in what has now been proven to be a hoax.
In an interview with the ABC, Matt Black, manager of Edge Hill’s Botanica Cafe Bar Kitchen said the pair came and had lunch.
“They sent their security detail in, and they had a little look at the menu, then asked if we had room for a couple of private guests, who are hoping to take over the inside,” Black told the ABC.
“Sure enough, in walked bloody Kimmy K and Pete Davidson.”
The story, paired with Kim’s recent Instagram photos of her at a beach, really sold the lie. However, it was revealed that only Davidson is at Cairns, not Kardashian.
Davidson is currently in the country along with Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry to film comedy movie Wizards!
Safe to say, the cafe manager got his 15 minutes of fame.
