It’s been more than three years since Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper first graced our screens as Jackson and Ally Maine in “A Star Is Born,” and we’re still not over the iconic casting. So imagine our delight when the former costars reunited inside Barker Hangar at the 2022 SAG Awards. Although they each walked the red carpet solo – Gaga in a white column gown by Armani Privé and Cooper in a sharp, classic tuxedo – they synced up once the award show was underway, sharing a sweet hug inside. All it took was one quick glimpse at their quick hangout to send us right off the deep end.
The two actors were up for their own respective awards at the show – Gaga’s portrayal of Patrizia Reggiani in “House of Gucci” nabbed her a nomination for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role, while Cooper’s depiction of Jon Peters in “Licorice Pizza” earned him a nomination for outstanding performance by a male actor in a supporting role. The two famously dominated award season in 2019, with “A Star Is Born” receiving 24 major nominations and winning three awards, including the Golden Globe for best original song. And who could possibly forget when they belted out “Shallow” at the Oscars that year? Certainly not us.
Read ahead to catch a glimpse at Gaga and Cooper’s reunion, then join us in reliving every time they’ve performed “Shallow” together for old times’ sake.
