Fewer things are chicer than Vanessa Paradis and Lily-Rose Depp reminiscing about shared Chanel milestones. The fashionable mother-daughter duo recently joined a selection of fellow ambassadors – including Penélope Cruz and Marion Cotillard – in a roundtable discussion about the brand’s latest Haute Couture runway show during Paris Fashion Week. The show’s intimate wedding theme inspired a sweet exchange about the time Lily-Rose closed out a 2017 Chanel show in a pink bridal dress, and with her mom in attendance.
“It was way too much for my heart.”
“Something that is a unanimous thing that I’m hearing around this table is just how you feel when you’re wearing these garments – not only how beautiful they look, but how they make you feel when you’re wearing them,” Lily-Rose said. “I remember I was lucky enough to be the Chanel bride a couple of years ago, which truly as my dream when I was a little girl. This was the ultimate princess that I could ever be.” She added, “I couldn’t believe that I actually got to do it. I was like, are you sure?” That’s when a visibly emotional Vanessa chimed in to say, “Seeing my baby girl in a show, it was the bride dress – it was way too much for my heart, my emotion.”
In a cute coincidence, Chanel released the roundtable video the day after Kate Moss and her daughter Lila Grace Moss-Hack walked in Fendi’s show together, marking their first joint runway appearance.
Watch the exchange at around 4:45 in the video ahead, and then scroll through photos of Lily-Rose’s bridal moment.
