When “Love Is Blind” contestant Kyle Abrams dubbed the season two reunion a “train wreck” on Instagram, fans could tell they were in for a bumpy ride. The explosive reunion special featured updates from the cast, including the two couples who exchanged “I dos” during the season finale, as well as a fiery rant from Shake Chatterjee regarding his views on physical attraction and how he believes love is “blurry,” not blind.
While fans only had to wait one week after the weddings to catch up with their favorite season two couples, the cast had a lot longer to reflect on everything that went down both in and outside of the pods. “Love Is Blind” season two filmed in spring 2021, however, during the reunion special, hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey made a point to congratulate married couples Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson and Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones on their upcoming one-year wedding anniversaries. Given that timeline, in addition to the show’s drawn-out streaming schedule, it’s likely the reunion was filmed in the days leading up to the season finale’s release date on Feb. 25.
Feelings may not have been as fresh compared to how they were a month or two after their spring weddings, but it was clear the group being under one roof again was like rubbing salt into the wound – raw and uncomfortable. Chatterjee burned more bridges by boldly revealing he wasn’t attracted to any of the women on “Love Is Blind” apart from Vanessa Lachey as Nick Lachey watched on in shock. Abrams revealed his biggest regret was not proposing to Deepti Vempati (he left the pods engaged to Shaina Hurley, who later broke things off in the midst of filming). Emotions also ran high between former couples Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen and Mallory Zapata and Salvador Perez, both of whom ended things at the altar but considered giving their relationships another chance after the show.
You’ll have to keep an eye on the “Love Is Blind” season two cast members’ social media profiles for any updates moving forward.
