With Love Island Australia having kicked off, we naturally want to know every single detail.
And thankfully, Channel Nine has given us everything we need to know about the contestants of the dating reality show.
The third season, which will premiere on Monday, October 11, is currently filming in Byron Bay.
As expected, the singles that will be making their way into the villa are attractive, not that we expected any less.
Let’s get to know them.
Jess, 23
She’s nicknamed “The Intimidator” and we’re certain we’ll get to see why once the show airs. The Macedonian party girl is from the beachside suburb of Cronulla in NSW.
“I’m not just beautiful, I’m powerful as well. I say what I want to say, and I do what I want to do,” Jess is quoted as saying.
“I’m not just a prize to be won, once you’ve got me you need to keep putting that effort in, otherwise you won’t keep me” she can be heard saying in her first promo video.
“I feel like when I walk into a room, I am the brightest light in the room, and I don’t even try to.
“A lot of people don’t like that. I can’t dim my light, and I feel like in the past I’ve had to dim my light,” she admitted tearfully.
Rachael, 21
She’s considered the “Hot Geek” of the season, and like Chris, is also from the Gold Coast.
“I am an old soul and a nerd at heart,” she told Channel Nine.
“I love Lego, Star Wars movies, and I love going to bookstores. I’m not someone who sleeps around and goes to bars all the time,” she asserts.
In the new promo released over the weekend, she was quoted saying: “Would I steal their man? Maybe.”
Tina, 25
The PR consultant from Sydney’s hasn’t always been lucky in love, which is why she decided to give Love Island Australia a crack.
“I think my disastrous dating history has been comic relief for most of my friends.”
Ari, 25
Ari considers herself to be fiercely independent. Born in New Zealand to Fijian/Indian parents, Ari says she is proud to bring diversity to Love Island Australia.
“When I saw the Love Island ad pop up, I thought that would be a nice opportunity to do something different with my life. Especially because I’ve been out of the dating scene for a very long time. I thought this would be a good way to get myself out there because I don’t do the whole online dating world these days either,” she said.
Courtney, 23
Hilarious and full of energy, Courtney is always down to have a good time. The nursing student from the Gold Coast is ready to find true love.
“I’m not tooting my own horn, but guys come up to me and I can find guys. But the guys that try and date me, they aren’t really up to my standards.”
Lexy, 20
In a stroke of luck, Lexy was discovered by Love Island Australia producers while working at a bar in Brisbane. Jumping at the opportunity, the 20-year-old is ready to find love.
“It would be funny if I met my next boyfriend on a reality TV show. What are the chances of that happening? That would be crazy in a good way.”
Chris, 25
He’s a riot squad worker and he hails from the Gold Coast.
“I do get a lot of attention when I head out. Being good looking is a curse,” he says.
“To fall in love, that would be pretty cool. I can’t wait to get in the villa.”
Taku, 24
Taku, a rugby player and a Wollongong resident is ready to find love.
“I want all the smoke, if you know what I’m saying. I’m a confident guy, I bring the fun and the party. I can’t wait,” he is attributed as saying.
In the latest promo, he says, “if she’s like me, but a girl, perfect!”
Ryan, 25
He may come across as dark and brooding, but Ryan has a soft side. Originally from South Africa, the 25-year-old came to Australia when he was a young boy. He truly hopes to find love through the show, as previously, he hasn’t had much luck in the dating department.
“I know my value and what I’m worth. I know what another person is worth. We are all worth a million dollars.”
Aaron, 24
This model from Perth has the good looks down, but will he be able to find true love? A hopeless romantic, Aaron is a man who knows exactly what he wants.
“I’m just excited to see who is going to be there. I’m excited to see what the girls are like.”
Ronni, 21
Ronni is living his life at the tender age of 21, going on as many dates as he can and showing no signs of slowing down. The casanova resides in the beachside suburb of Bondi in Sydney.
“I want to do Love Island for my own enjoyment. You look at the setting, and you have hot girls in a villa and then go on exotic dates. That’s kind of what I do in my life anyway.”
Jordan, 28
He’s the oldest Islander in the villa and at the age of 28, Jordan knows exactly what he’s looking for. He has a great career and has forged a great path for himself, but he wants someone by his side to share his success with.
“I go in real heavy really quickly and then it fizzles out afterwards, and not always from my end.”
