Married At First Sight‘s most infamous couple have reportedly called it quits after just 10 months in a shock to… pretty much no one.
Olivia Frazer and Jackson Lonie shared the news in a joint Instagram post on Monday night where they announced that they have “decided to go [their] separate ways.”
“After a wonderful 10 months together we have decided to go our separate ways,” the post reads.
“There has always been a lot of love in our relationship and there will continue to be as we transition into a friendship.
“We have nothing but love and respect for one another, and no one is to blame for the end of this relationship. Simply a case of ‘almost perfect’.
The update comes just a few months after a TikTok video emerged of Lonie kissing another woman which led to a huge online fallout and a bizarre joint Insta post addressing the matters.
In the post, Lonie speaks to the camera while sitting next to his partner, acknowledging that he “f***ed up” and that he was trying to “combat” his emotions and “deal with this negativity.” It felt v. ‘blink twice if you need help’, and appeared to be entirely orchestrated by Frazer.
While the now-separated couple didn’t allude to the cheating saga in the latest update, it seems unlikely that the two incidents are unrelated.
The pair had agreed to try and work things out following the incident, however Frazer has since spent time in Europe without Lonie. It’s unclear exactly when the breakup happened, although all signs indicate that they were working on a long-distance relationship basis while she was abroad.
Frazer and Lonie have long been the centre of drama in the MAFS universe, with feuds between rival villain Jessika Power blowing up after Frazer revealed that she had blocked the MAFS co-star on Instagram.
The splitting of these two now means that every single couple from the 2022 season of MAFS has fizzled out, although you probably wouldn’t have put money on the pair to last the longest from the start.
Here’s hoping the two of them can go off and find their own happiness outside of the relationship.
