They Found Love on S2 of Australian Survivor, Now Mark and Samantha are Back for Blood vs Water
Australian Survivor: Blood vs Water is set to begin on January 31 and we’re already counting down till we can finally tune in. Channel 10 have since announced the contestants of the highly anticipated show, so it’s time to get to know each of the teams.
This isn’t Mark Wales and Samantha Gash’s first rodeo. The pair first met on season two of Australian Survivor where, while competing alongside each other, fell in love and shortly tied the knot after the show wrapped.
“It’s the most unconventional way you can fall in love with someone,” Samantha says in the new Survivor teaser. “We haven’t left each other’s side since.”
Now, four years later, the couple share a son together named Henry, who will be cheering from the sidelines as his parents attempt the competition for the second time.
In season two, Mark and Sam were sent home by the Asaga tribe for being too much of a “power couple”, but whether they still have it in them for Blood vs Water is yet to be seen.
The two are definitely ones to watch because, if you thought they were strong before, it seems their relationship after the birth of their son has reached new heights.
“Our baby has definitely made our relationship and love stronger,” Samantha said shortly before giving birth. “It’s surely tested us when either one of us has been selfish or a pest (which is inherent with the things we’ve previously sought to achieve), taught us the importance of communication & reinforced that we are better when we are a team and don’t sweat the small stuff. Not long till our little miracle arrives and changes our lives forever!!”
Who said you need to go on The Bachelor to find love?
Australian Survivor: Blood vs Water is expected to really test the waters as contestants will be forced to go head-to-head with the people they care about the most.
“Survivor has always been an individual game,” host Jonathan La Paglia told Who. “But this season, that’s all about to change.”
Australian Survivor: Blood vs Water premieres on January 31, 2022, at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10play. Catch all of our coverage, here.
