MasterChef Australiais notorious for not only turning household chefs into household names, but the Hot n Cold theme song by Katy Perry is synonymous with the series.
This year, while we’re still expecting the very same opening titles with the brand new cooks, there has been a stunning tune playing in the Network Ten promos.

The song is titled Somewhere Only We Know and is performed by British popstar (and now wife of Stranger Things’ David Harbour), Lily Allen.
Released in 2014 on Allen’s album Sheezus, Somewhere Only We Know also featured in a John Lewis Christmas advert in the UK and was originally recorded and performed by English alternative rock band Keane.
The haunting yet whimsical song is the perfect addition to the exceptional cooks and their creations, in a season that is touted to be the “most delicious season yet”.
Season 13 will introduce us to a whole new generation of exceptional home cooks who are sacrificing everything to follow their passion for food.
