2021 is definitely Harry and Meghan’s year, with TIME Magazine having included the couple on their list of most influential people in the world.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex graced the cover of the magazine, with Harry being bestowed the accolade on his 37th birthday.
Taken in their Montecito home in California, Harry and Meghan looked like a true power couple.
Meghan opted for an all-white outfit while Harry chose all-black. Jose Andres, a friend and chef who is responsible for the charity World Central Kitchen wrote that the couple are “driven” and “compassionate”.
“Springing into action is not the easy choice for a young duke and duchess who have been blessed through birth and talent, and burned by fame. It would be much safer to enjoy their good fortune and stay silent,” wrote Andres. “They run towards the struggle.”
Harry and Meghan shared their thoughts on the Archewell foundation website, saying they’re “humbled” by the honour.
They also contributed to the list, highlighting the work of economist Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who is the first African and first woman to lead the World Trade Organisation.
“What will it take to vaccinate the world? Unity, cooperation – and leaders like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala,” they said.
