There’s a lot going on in “Mrs. Davis.” The show centers on a nun (Betty Gilpin) who is determined to destroy an all-powerful artificial intelligence – though in order to do so, she has to complete a seemingly impossible quest. Along the way, she encounters everything from belligerent whales to ex-lovers to the actual Pope, while also facing off against her mother and dealing with her complicated childhood. It’s a sci-fi epic that blurs the line between religion, technology, comedy, and drama, with a lot of chaotic action sequences to boot.

Where You Might Know "Mrs. Davis" Star Betty Gilpin From
Gilpin plays Simone, who, as “Mrs. Davis”‘s central hero, finds herself tasked with finding the Holy Grail. Previously, she starred as Debbie “Liberty Belle” Eagan in Netflix’s “Glow” from 2017 to 2019. She also appeared in the film “The Hunt” in 2020. Additionally, she played Dr. Carrie Roman in “Nurse Jackie” (2013-2015).

McDorman plays Simone’s childhood sweetheart, Wiley – though he continues calling her Lizzie throughout the series, and has a bit of trouble accepting her new position as a nun.
Previously, McDorman played Aquamarine’s love interest Raymond in “Aquamarine” (2006). He also appeared in the film “American Sniper” (2014) and starred in the TV series “Limitless” (2015-2016). Additionally, he appeared in the shows “Greek” (2007–2011) and “Shameless” (2014), as well as “What We Do in the Shadows” (2019), and “Dopesick” (2021), and played the teacher Mr. Bruno in the film “Lady Bird” (2017). He also played Nelson Gardner in a 2019 episode of “Watchmen,” and reunites with “Watchmen” series creator Damon Lindelof for “Mrs Davis.”
Where You Might Know "Mrs. Davis" Star Andy McQueen From
McQueen plays Simone’s boyfriend Jay, who often serves her delicious falafel from a mysteriously empty restaurant.
You might know McQueen from his role as Carlos Singh in “Outer Banks” season three, which began streaming in February 2023. He’s also appeared in the TV shows “The Handmaid’s Tale” (2017-) and “Station Eleven” (2021), and has starred in the movies “Fahrenheit 451” (2018) and “Disappearance at Clifton Hill” (2019), among others.
