FBoy Island Australia kept us all hooked with its wild twists, emotional moments, and shock revelations, but through all the chaos, one couple truly stole the spotlight — Nicole and Jack. Their genuine connection blossomed amidst the mind games and drama, and now, after the finale, they’re more loved-up than ever.

Speaking to POPSUGAR Australia from a sunny balcony on the Gold Coast, Nicole and Jack opened up about life post-show, what really went down during the finale, and how they’re navigating their relationship after leaving the island. Oh, and of course, what they plan to do with that sweet $50,000 prize money.

Reflecting on the moment of reaching the end together, Nicole shared, “It feels surreal now that the day is here. The filming was so long ago that it’s like, ‘Wow, we can actually sit here and enjoy it.’ We’re so grateful and so happy. It’s definitely a ‘pinch me’ moment.”

How the FBOY Island Finale Went Down

Throughout the season, Nicole formed close bonds with both Jack and Sean, leading to a surprising elimination of Sean before his emotional final pitch at the finale. While it was a shock to viewers, Nicole explained what ultimately made her choose Jack.

“Jack was always my grounding place. Even during group dates when we couldn’t speak, there was always this calmness between us — this look that said ‘it’s okay’. That sense of calm and being himself was exactly what drew me to him. I knew that’s who I wanted to spend more time with and leave the island with.”

For Jack, the lead-up to the finale was intense. When Nicole finally said his name, he admitted that while he was confident in his feelings, nothing was guaranteed. “I trusted what I felt was real, but you never know. The moment Nicole said my name was a mix of relief and excitement. But right up to that point, I had no idea what to expect.”

Nicole echoed the sentiment, describing the finale day as nerve-wracking: “I was so nervous. There was so much waiting around, and by the time the final decision came, I had all this anxious energy. I was worried Jack might flip the script and reveal he was an FBOY, but thankfully, everything worked out.”

When asked whether she ever considered taking the money for herself, Nicole was firm: “No. I’d come so far, and I was always leading with love. Even though the finale was overwhelming, I knew from the start I was going to pick Jack.”

Are Nicole and Jack Still Together?

Since leaving the island, the couple are as smitten as ever, even with the challenge of long-distance. Nicole, still based in Geelong, and Jack, on the Gold Coast, have found ways to make their relationship work despite the distance. “We’ve managed to see each other every month since filming wrapped up, and it’s been amazing,” Nicole said. “I’ve never done long-distance before, but when you find something this good, it makes it easier. Long-term, we definitely want to be living together, but for now, we’re enjoying the moment and figuring out what comes next.”

While the transition from the island to real life hasn’t been without its challenges, both Jack and Nicole say the biggest surprise has been watching the show back. “It’s eye-opening to see people’s true characters when you watch their interviews. You don’t always know what they’re saying behind the scenes,” Jack revealed.

Nicole agreed, adding that it’s been both surprising and challenging to keep their relationship under wraps since the show started airing. “Before the show aired, we had a few months where no one really knew about us, so we were able to just be together. But once the show hit screens, it got a bit trickier.”

“…That Moment Really Stood Out to Me”

As for how Jack felt about his portrayal on the show, he admitted to being happy with how things played out on-screen, even if some moments were left out. “I think it was an honest edit of who I am, and I’m proud of that. Some people said I was ‘vanilla’, which I found funny because no one’s ever called me that before. I was careful with what I said because anything can be used against you, but I think the show captured the important parts of my relationship with Nicole.”

One of the moments that didn’t make the final cut was their overnight stay, which Nicole described as a turning point. “That moment really stood out to me because there were no cameras, and we just got to talk for hours. It was then that I truly saw who Jack was, and we connected on a much deeper level. Those are the moments that don’t make it to air, but they’re what made me realise how special our connection is.”

How Nicole and Jack Are Spending Their $50k Prize Money

Though they’ve yet to receive their $50,000 prize money, Nicole and Jack are already planning how to spend it. “We haven’t gotten the money yet, but we definitely want to take a holiday together,” Nicole shared. “The longest we’ve spent together since filming ended is five days. So we’d love to just take two weeks and enjoy some time together, especially now that we’re finally out in the open.”

For fans wondering if their relationship is as genuine as it seemed on-screen, Nicole and Jack are clear: this is the real deal.

“People might doubt if you can find love on FBOY Island, but at the end of the day, we’re all still human,” Nicole said. “Jack and I are in the healthiest relationship either of us has ever been in. We’re so happy and smitten — it’s everything we both wanted.”

Jack agreed, adding, “The audience might not fully grasp how pure our connection really is, but for us, this is real life. We’re just excited to finally live it together.”
